"But chickens are so dirty!"

People too numerous to count have told me that they love fresh eggs, but would never keep chickens because they're just too filthy.  We like to think that our homemade chicken waterer is part of the solution --- by keeping the floor dry and the waterer from filling with poop, the Avian Aqua Miser makes chicken care much more palatable.  But the chickens' overall living conditions are also key.

That's why I was so glad to see photos coming in from folks like Jennifer Engborg.  Her coop looks nearly pristine, from the screened off windows (plenty of light but no predators) to the wood shaving coated floor.  Actually, I wouldn't mind living in that chicken coop....
